Getting Plex to register iTunes play count & Vice Versa

Anyone know how to increase or mark as played between the two apps on an apple TV4 ? That's to say if I play something through plex, it marks as played on iTunes or increases the play count & likewise if I play something on one of the older ATVs (or the mac itself), it will mark it as played in Plex.
