    Hi lads, just looking for advice based on the build I have. Looking to upgrade my graphics card, want something that can play GTAV, Fallout 4 and Overwatch at 1440p on high/ultra settings.

    The current setup;

    MSI PC mate z97
    Intel i5 4690k
    MSI GTX960 2gb
    8GB RAM
    EVGA 600w bronze

    While the 960 is holding up well, I'm looking to possibly future proof my setup, I had considered a 1060? Would that be a suitable card for the 1440p setup or should I look at changing the monitor beforehand?

    1070 would be a good suit for high refresh rates, if you just want to up the resolution then a 1060 is probably fine

    Im running a 60hz monitor, would it be overkill with a 1070?

    1440p, not really
    1080p, yes

    A 1060 will handle both fine I would think

    Since it is a future proofing endeavour, i'd suggest the 1070 moreso than the 1060.
