    If you could edit out the road and traffic you have a nice Paul Henry style skyscape and landscape.

    Long stretch marked off; lad with theodilite; looks like a substantial stretch involved.

    they've been surveying along that stretch over the past few days

    it's been surveyed before, doesn't mean anything in terms of actual roadworks starting.

    could be they're re-designing sections that caused ABP to refuse permission for the upgrade. more likely there's money that needs to be spent before the end of the year

    I thought that by now Local Authorities and other State Authorities had moved over to Multi Annual Budgetting?

    It does not make sense to be rushing thru' projects at the back end of the year in case the money "has to go back to Dublin". Also a difficult time of year to be out working on a road about Maam Cross

    you can rest reassured this project is not rushed - ask anyone who drives this road regularly
    Also a difficult time of year to be out working on a road about Maam Cross
    weather has only turned nasty since yesterday - anyway, they were all well wrapped up - no expense spared on insulated fluorescent jackets....:D
