Help Finding a Cabin Sized Suitcase

I hope this is the best place to post! I'm looking to buy a new cabin sized suitcase, preferrably with dimensions 55x40x22 or close to that. I want one with 4 wheels. It'd need a laptop compartment. On the exterior of the case I'd like ideally either one along the same lines as this style or black/dark leather. My budget is a max of €150 (hence I wont be getting an actual Gucci case :-P). Can anyone recommend where I might be able to get a suitcase like either I've described?

Debenhams have a great selection and good value when I got my case there, they're all good quality etc. but I don't know about the exact features you're looking for!
My case, Tripp, was 2 wheels 35e with a 5 year guarantee and fits almost exactly the maximum Ryanair measurments!!

The Samsonite shop in Kildare village might be worth a look?

It's worth spending as much as you can, but I don't really recommend having an external laptop compartment. It leaves the laptop too exposed to impacts etc.

I have a Samsonite spinner (4 wheel) that's been in constant use for 6+ yrs and is flying along. It's probably got more airmiles than most people will ever accumulate!

    I agree with this.

I bought a Samsonite (before they had an outlet in KV) many years ago and even though it was really expensive, I've used it so much since and it still looks smart. I travel a fair bit with work, I'd say in over and back to the UK once or twice a month on average, and it comes with me regularly. I also use it for my personal trips, so its a very well traveled bag :) I'd say its made close to 20 trips this year alone, and sometimes gets checked in if the flights are very full.

I'm glad now looking back that I spent a bit of money on it because I don't think a lesser bag would have lasted as well.

Heading to KV soon to buy myself bigger one for longer trips, will probably go Samsonite again.

We have an old Antler which is grand. After more than a decade of abuse it is still grand. Samsonite spinner is excellent suitcase but a bit less forgiving when you need to pack loads. My favourite would actually be a Mandarina Duck one that we have but it is a bit too heavy for current weight limits. It just has little touches like special suit compartment woth fould up hanger. We use it for weddings a lot.

I would also check Debenhams and Arnotts. They both have some decent bags.

OP I just saw that House of Fraser have some discounts today. Of you add the favourable sterling exchange it might be worth checking their website.

I used a samsonite set heavily over the last four years. The cabin bag is giving up on me (just as Im giving up on it), so they are not perfect. They do have nice leather bags too.

TK maxx is a great place as well for getting them as you get proper designer ones for about 70 euros or so. Very worth while getting one there. The style that your looking for i have seen something like that in TK maxx before i am nearly sure about it

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

I actually really like this one I found on House of Fraser: http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Biba+Opulence+jacquard+8+wheel+soft+cabin+suitcase/229411199,default,pd.html

Only thing is that it doesnt have a laptop compartment. It would've been preferred but I could survive without it. Also the size is 55x35x23.5, hopefully you wouldn't notice much of a difference?

Tripp is an excellent brand and I've got a Ryanair-size purple one that has been around for 8 years and still going strong. To and fro dozens of times on planes, trains, ships and automobiles.

Its record is beaten by my best friend's Antler - even smaller, and still just about perfect after 15 years. Too many trips to count (we travel a lot)
