Huawei GX8 Help needed on Apps

First time with a Huawei, how do i put an app shortcut onto home page, on my HTC there were 9 dots, pressed that and it opened up all the apps i have, can't seem to find anythign similar on this handset, if i hold finger down on homescreen it gives me options to add widgets to home but not apps.
