Not AFAIK. It is not a fixed piece of infrastructure in the way a shed, crush, fencing are.

Afaik it has to be 'Fixed' to the ground, ie bolted in, so not allowed for the ordinary cattle scales that is lifted in and out of a crush.

I claimed the vat back on my prattley scales a few years ago, reckoned there was no wheels on it,

No they've clamped down on that one, I got refused last year. But sur its not against the law to try, all they can do is send it back to you. But when your buying be prepared that its going to cost you the plus vat price

    Remember lads, this is farming.

Your expected to buy everything retail prices but sell wholesale prices.

the crush version for €1300 you cant claim the VAT58 since 2012

in the " safety scheme grants" of 2015 a few clients installed larger scales like 8ft x 8ft and truck versions and could claim vat back on VAT 58

I taught that they changed some claimable items some years back and I taught that Scales and hedging were vat claimable items. However I may be incorrect.
