Hello, I'm hoping somebody could help me with this. I got a call on Monday to say I have a sheep inspection on Friday... I have been going through my flock register to make sure that it is all up to date and I have found two pink dockets from a few months back that were not sent to the dvo.. what should I do with them before Friday or will i automatically get penalised? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance.

Didn't think that they gave more than 48 hours notice,

Wouldn't be great to be shouting about it here if you happened to get good notice

Similarly, if this was me I'd come clean, admit an honest mistake and post pink slips getting a proof of postage (express post). Ensure that the flock register is inch perfect to demonstrate otherwise good record keeping.

I'm sure that you've made certain at this stage that everything else (tags etc.) is good to reduce any further wrath. Good luck with it.

Send it in but why volunteer information that you were late sending it.
Don't lie about it but if it's not pointed out the inspector can overlook it. If you point it out he'll have to mark you down on it.

I'm sure those dockets were sent in and everything is OK!

I wouldn't either but if inspector goes through dispatch book he's going to notice it as he will have a print out of all movements through mart/factory. At that stage I would come clean

Was the two pink dockets for sheep you purchased or sold, if they are purchased the onus is on you to return and if they were sold it is the buyer who is responsible you should have given the buyer the white and pink.

A lot of sellers would hold on to the pink and send away themselves so they know they're out of their flock number

yes, but it has to go to the buyer's dvo not the seller's

Would a photocopy of the white sheet suffice for the DVO in the absence of the pink sheet?
