Anyone have recent experience of going down this examination path? Its a gap in certified skillsets in work that management want filled and I've to decide if I do it myself or try convince someone else to

I believe from a quick read-through that you have to use their ($$$) training materials but can do so online - EMC group practices as usual but at least its not compulsary classroom.

    howdy,

you do the EMC ICM training, usually 3 -5 days long. This allows you to sit the proven professional exam(multiple choice style). You are now a certified associate.

Then you can become a specialist, you pursue further training on VNX, Avamar, Extreme i/o etc and you specialize in that and do an exam on that product.

Then you go and become a subject matter expert

    Regards
