    Hi There,

I wonder if someone can help me. I both some Animation Art back in 2001 and one in particular was a hand painted Tom & Jerry cell signed by both Hanna & Barbera. I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me where I could go to get this valued in Ireland. I've no intention of selling it, but i'd like to get it valued for insurance purposes.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stuart.

Whyte's are probably the best as they regularly sell movie related items.

Tom and Jerry signed cells don't come up very often at auction. Other characters come up, signed, and sell for in the region of 150-300.

Ebay sellers are looking for around the 2k mark for similar T&J items. One sold recently on ebay for that kind of price ( it was the famous logo though) which would suggest that the retail ( or replacement price for insurance) would be around 2k, depending on the quality and the image.

It also suggests that if you did want to sell, then auction is not the best route to market:)
