    Hi All,

I was made redundant 10 dys ago and had a good pay-off from my company and have been offered another job in the same industry starting off in late January next year. I'm going to take some of the time to do some travel before starting my new job. I've signed on for JSB and get my first payment this week.

However I am due to be out of the country next Wednesday and the following Wed/Thur/Fri, and wondered what happens to my payment? I'll be back for the following day the next week and the Saturday on the week after can I collect my payment then?

Or do I have to forego payment and tell them I take a holiday? I have worked for the last 10 years almost fully apart from a week or two between jobs and this is the first time I have claimed JSB, so not sure how this works?

You are entitled to two weeks holiday but you must inform them at least ten days before you leave or your payment/ claim is cancelled. Get in right away and let them know.
