The school of thought was that it was preferable to have bathrooms on outside walls so as a window could be opened. Does having a mvhr mean that bathrooms can be placed internally within the house. Will the mvhr deal with the steam from showers and any potential smells?

We have our downstairs toilet internally, and only the HRV extract to remove moisture and smells. Works fine. We have had no issues to date

Just be sure the unit is equipped with a condensation outlet and it will be fine.

Some MVHR systems actually have a Boost button, This is handy for when your showering or cooking, it sets a boost on the extraction for 30 mins. Look out for it.
