I bought a Trek 6500. The fork has seen better days.

Has anybody a fork that would suit my bike?

My budget is small, so although I appreciate being offered fancy forks, I wont be spending crazy dollars.

If you want rid of anything, get in touch.

    Thanks

Not breaking the bank on this one.

    Thanks

Rockshox Reba rl 100mm. It's only had about 3 or 4 rides. I cracked my frame shortly after buying the fork . Then I bought a 29er. I don't think I could let it go in your budget.

What would you sell it for (if OP) not interested?

    Straight steerer? Steerer length?

Yes Straight steerer, I will have to measure the steerer length. I would let it go for 160ish.

    OK.

That'll work. You might confirm steerer length and that stanchions are perfect etc.

If frame is 19 or bigger should be long enough

    Would it suit my frame?

    I mean would it fit?

    Thanks

Yes I think so, I looked at images of some trex 6500 and the headset looks straight. Geometry looks like a xc bike so 100mm suspension would be right. Last question is whether your front wheels is quick release or bolt through?

    it is quick release.

    Spend the extra few quid.

You won't get a better fork at that price range.

I guess I need to let the op decide first. Where are you based. Your welcome to have a look. They are white, I don't know if that will put you off. They should be mint, I am not exaggerating when I say 3 or 4 spins. I was a very sad puppy when I saw the crack on my frame so soon after buying new forks. I bought from merlyn cycles so I can print the receipt. I think they were about 340 in a half price sale.

Would you let them go for €160?

Please excuse my ignorance on all things mountain bikes and the prices that go with them.

Only starting out and want something decent.

I live in Inchicore in Dublin. But can meet if you are outside of Dublin.

    Thanks

I would let them go for 160. Do you have someone to fit them or check them out for you? I am in knocklyon/ballycullen. Work in dcu if that helps

    Great stuff, thanks a lot.

No I will ask the bike shop to do it. Better to be safe than sorry :):)

I will be around most nights this week after 9.30 and could call up if that suits. Or I could call up the weekend.
