Hi all, looking for a new car and I've narrowed it down to these two.
Both are 2008, both are top spec, both are 2-door. Only difference is that the C30 has the 1.6D engine while the Focus has the 1.8tdci engine.

Which would be the better one to go for in yer opinion? Or is there anything else along those lines that I should consider?

NOTE: my last 3 cars have been Volkswagens with the 1.9tdi engine so I wouldn't mind a change from them.

    TIA.

    Can you not find a 2.0 C30?
I prefer the c30 if you don't need the space. The 1.6 engine is fragile though.

    Civic 2.2?

Unfortunately due to "insurance purposes", I can't get insured on anything over 2ltr.

Don't need the space that much but I won't be considering anything smaller than the C30.

    Kia pro ceed?

Not as premium as the Volvo but infinitely less likely to cause you bother.

    Do you need a diesel?

Will check them out now, never thought of them!

Diesel is needed. Clocked up 15,000mls over the last 8 months in the Passat and that was even considered light driving as I had use of another car (no longer have use of the other car now).

The pro ceed is really well made. Parts can be a little pricey compared to ford but you should need less of them.

See if you can get the 116bhp version. The U.K. Is a good place to find one.
