Does anyone know of any temperature/contact sensors for fridges and freezers? I would like something that makes a sound or sends a notification if the door is left open for X seconds. A wireless thermometer would be a second choice.

Would a simple unit added externally not so the trick mount it on top of the freezer

They have loads of options here. Wireless receivers too
    Edit

Most modern fridges/freezers have a built in alarm for door open and temp drop.
