Hi, I'm currently a Clerical Officer in the Civil Service, on the 7th point of the salary scale. I'm currently on a panel for Clerical Officer in a County Council. Does anyone know if I'd be entitled to retain my salary point or would i be starting from scratch, given that Civil Service is not common recruitment pool? I've been googling but no luck, TIA :(

Im in a similar scenario, but Im currently an EO and wondering would be level of pay transfer across to a Local Authority too.

Cant find any info on it either.

Would be a deal breaker if I was to start again at the bottom point of the scale.

Hi loudymacloud, I couldn't get an answer so rang the HR department in the council. Your service will count if it's the same or similar grade, but not if there's a big difference in the grades. Hope that helps!
