Appraisals

    Soon at my office we will have appraisals , it´s been quite a while since they did them (and my 1st time).

    At my last place appraisals were carried out by surveys - you would fill out a self appraisal plus ones for 5/6 of your colleagues - this was a lot of work but you had everything compiled for the meeting.

    This one will be more informal and don't really know what to expect, but I imagine will contain questions like :

    * Where do you see yourself in the midterm/longterm ....
    * Your strengths/weaknesses - how to improve ?

    These are questions I bloody HATE ... cos honestly I don't know the answers to .. or maybe I do but to be honest I don´t want to go into a management position as they spend all day in meetings and that would destroy me.

    And I expect the "correct" answer to these questions is a "I would like to see myself in a more managerial role for new challenges ... bla bla..."

    So any advice on positive answers to these questions that don't involve climbing the management ladder.
