    Hi there,

Moving into a new house and looking into options for an open plan sunroom/living/kitchen area.

I'll have separate room for tv, have an existing 5.1 system, probably only use 3.1 so have two speakers (B&W M1) spare.

I like the idea of Sonos (i.e wireless) however understand that these don't integrate to easily (i.e. cheaply) with wired speakers, as possibly would need a Sonos amp to power speakers, then a Sonos sub or something like that.

Can you advise of what options that meeting the following:
    • system can be controlled by laptop / phone app.
    • WiFi connectivity (AC protocol preferred) for digital radio, spotify, hard drive connectivity etc.
    • Bluetooth for  sharing with iphone etc.
    • 2 amplified output channels suitable for powerimg the M1 speakers
    • a sub out
    • sub woofer recommendation with above system
    [*]

    Tks,
    Brian

    Brian,

I use Denon Heos http://www.denon.co.uk/uk/heos myself at home and I find it really excellent.

Heos is broadly similar to Sonos but there are a few critical differences - on the downside is that it doesnt use iTunes, but it does of course stream from your Phone / Ipad via the now really excellent Heos App ( you can download the App and have a look at it).

On the upside the Heos amp and Heos in general majors on audio quality and I think its head and shoulders above anything at a comparable price - especially the Heos Amp - the Heos amp is also really well equipped with USB / optical and 2 analogue inputs - it also has an powered subwoofer output - have a look at it here:

The new HS2 version of all the Heos products are also Bluetooth - which of course is a huge advantage over Sonos as it allows you to connect via either Wi-Fi or for visitors they can simply connect via Bluetooth.

    I'd highly recommend it!

Have a browse around the system and if you are interested just drop us a line and we will have a look at a matching sub and put together a system price for you.
