    Hi Guys,

Myself and fiancee are getting married next August. Plan is to have ceremony on a beach around Louisburgh or around Leenaun outside somewhere. I know Irish weather is dodge so being conservative for august say 50% chance of rain. Backup plan is ceremony in room of hotel if needed.

Has anyone done outside ceremony on a beach in ireland, do you have to get county council permission, how much? public liability insurance for 150 people, cost?

How much are chairs to rent? any other costs associated?

Thanks in advance, would love to hear from people who have done it before to gain a few tips.

Do you have a celebrant lined up?

Might be worth reading this, then contacting the hotels to see whats involved? They should at least point you in the right direction?

Plan to get legally married in the states and then do a humanist ceremony on the beach and then back to the hotel, like the ceremony is just for show so can have the day out

Humanists are the most in demand celebrants around, the celebrants who can perform actual weddings are typically booked up 18 months in advance for a weekend wedding.

So to clarify you want a non legal humanist ceremony?

Do you know what beach or area you want to get married on?

Are you asking about location permission and logistics advice?

if you are already married I'd actually recommend hiring an actor or seasoned public speaker for it- you might find cheaper rates and as you don't need a legally binding ceremony you might also find they have more availability, especially in high season at weekends.

Yeah, we will be using a friend to lead the ceremony, non legal humanist ceremony. Ceremony will be her speaking, couple songs and speeches.

Planning on having it maybe old head beach, carrownisky beach, around louisburgh area or else in Connemara somewhere.

Anyone ever have an outdoor ceremony like this?

I'm a bit confused. Is your friend a humanist celebrant? Or is it your friend plus a humanist celebrant?
