The title sums it up. Basically have no real friends.

Im a 23 year old lad and my social life ATM is non existent.

I sent a message to about 8 or 9 people that I would be friendly with and not one replied.

I don't drink so not a madman when out.
Live in a small town that has NOTHING as regards social clubs.

I would move to a new city but have a contract in a job till April at least.

    It just gets very lonely.
    Any advice?

A more direct "I'm looking to start up a 4 a side footie thing or a 5K run a couple evenings a week, are you in?"

    Maybe^?

The run can be good cuz others will see ye out in your reflective gear this weather and look to join and it could grow.

A good idea. I just looked through my Snapchat and so many people are out having the craic. Its just so demoralising. Last time I was out was last Christmas.

Good advice so far. Also, what kind of things are you interested in e.g specific sports, movies, eating out, music, dance, etc, etc. And then join groups, clubs, societies that do those maybe.

Don't worry about not drinking, that's actually a huge plus on so many levels, you just need to learn to socialise around other things which is a much healthier way to socialise and make friends anyway. Good luck.

Thanks. I do like sports and tbh would give most social things a go but the problem is nothing is nearby me. Im not worried about this long term but for the next 6 months or more I'm going to struggle to find ways to socialise.
