    Hi all,
I want to replace a Baxi gas boiler that has given nothing but trouble since it was installed about 10 years ago, the Baxi runs on mainline gas, heats the water and radiators and now the fan is going in it (its practically new with all the parts ive replaced this far)

I happened to get an unused Victrix 24 KW x (handy) it is an A rated condenser boiler with its own built in pump, but im having athfull trouble finding someone who will put it in.

The boiler is used a lot here.

I understand that no one can give me any guarantee on something i bought myself i just wanted it put in.

    What ye reckon?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

And what reason are the plumbers giving for not fitting the boiler?

Ive asked two- one said that hes too busy the other said that hes not interested

I presume that they are afraid that they'll be haunted by me if something goes wrong with a boiler i supplied myself or that much of their profit from these jobs comes from supplying the boiler, I dont know??

I have a registered gass man who will do the gass part if i can find a plumber to put it in

If the plumber isn't gas registered then he legally cannot fit any part it. End of.
As for finding an installer.....it's November. Probably the busiest month of the year. The first guy probably is too busy. The second may not be gas reg, that's why he's not interested. You'd be lucky to find someone to install it this time of year. I'm booked up until Feb. I'd say most others are too

    Baxi >> Immergas Victrix
= Out of the Frying Pan and into the Fire!

I personally wouldn't fit any boiler of unknown origin least of all an Immergas.

Boilers with strong back up reputation and easy to obtain spare parts. Vokera, Ideal, Bosch, Glowworm, Veissmann to name a few.
