Buying car UK, warranty question

    Hi folks,
    looking for some advice please. I plan to buy a used BMW from the UK in January 2017. the cars im looking at are all 2016 so effectively 1 year old at time of purchase.
    will any of the warranty be valid here in Ireland? ( 3 year warranty on new BMW's in the UK)
    How can you go about getting BMW warranty on a new-ish car.

    warranty is valid here same as an Irish car

    The original BMW warranty from the UK is valid here as BMW Ireland and BMW UK are the same company. I've had no issues in the past getting an Irish BMW dealer to do warranty work on a UK imported BMW in year 3 of the BMW UK warranty even when BMW here were only offering 2 year warranties on Irish cars. These days both countries come with 3 year warranties.

    Thanks bazz26 and mittimitti , wasn't sure how the warranty would be dealt with here.... that's it then, that was the only reservation I had about heading over to buy. Thanks again lads
