    Does anyone know if the Interfirms GAA Competition is still running. Specifically Connacht I suppose?

    You're off the case McGarnigle! (Sorry had to do that)

    One of my mates plays for VistaMed and they have games coming up so its definitely still running. I think they are playing a team from Galway in the coming weeks. I think they are intermediate.

    Some counties promote it, others don't

    Galway teachers won Galway about two weeks ago, i'm not sure where they go from there though.

    A few of us at work are thinking of entering a team for next year but not sure how to go about it. We are based on Westmeath side of Athlone. Is interfirms done a county or provincial basis?

    Munster still going anyway.

    Can't get over the amount of County players really - I assume a lot are playing for teams they don't actually work for?

    @goalie2 - It's provincial

    Thanks. So should need to be contacting Leinster provincial council or could even try Connacht as right on the border. Silly question but I guess it's 15 a side and as new team would start at junior level?

    Yeh 15 a side of the numbers are there. We have had 13 a side matches before when one team couldn't make up the numbers.

    In regards to Junior etc. I think it's a numbers thing because we started off Intermediate in the football this year but once knocked out of that we were out straight into the 'Junior' Qualifiers.

    It's a bit odd but enjoyable all the same. Varying standards obviously tho because for many it's their only playing of sport throughout the year really.
