Hello everyone. Thought I would introduce myself quickly.
Years ago (like 15 years ago) I was into photography. I had an old Nikon F401 but didnt really get to shoot much because I couldnt afford to get films developed.
Anyway, I bought a Canon 1200d and it arrived yesterday so I'm looking forward to relearning what Ive forgotten and learning much more than I knew.

It arrived late yesterday so I could only run outside to play with it.
Heres the first picture Ive taken in over 15 years!!

Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting some constructive criticism. I've been stalking this forum for a while now and there are definitely people here I could learn a lot from.

    Welcome.

Throw up some images and ask for some comments. It is best if you give some information about what you are trying to achieve and the advice you seek.

Enjoy the new camera and learning about it.

Welcome on board! We're a mixed bunch here, from beginner's to advanced and even a few pros.

Whilst some are more advanced than others, we all love photography and I think we all learn from each other. The only stupid questions are the ones not asked. When you feel comfortable, put up an image or two for feedback - it can be a bit daunting at first but it's the best way to improve and learn IMHO. Keep in mind the only competition is with yourself and your goals.

But most of all, enjoy your photography 😀

Thanks everyone. I'll certainly be putting up some stuff a looking for advice. Bound to be terrible at first but I've no ego and look forward to learning. Thanks again.

    Hi session_savage,

Was in the same position as you, this time last year - waiting for my 1200d to arrive - and have really appreciated being able to pick up where I left off more than a decade ago. Enjoy the ride!
