I would prefer not to think about it

    Not for me...

Hmmmm. TBH Floop it kinda appeals to me in an odd way. Then again as the more local guys and gals will happily attest that I'm as odd as two left feet on this score. For context, me wearing this today..

Y'know what Floop. I say feckit, if you like it go for it. Though I would say it's a bit pricey and the gold plating won't last too long.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

That watch can only be worn with a 70s style check suit jacket. Its lovely.

    FYP W :D
    Its lovely.
Thanks W, I do love it, but it does illustrate a problem with gold plate like Flooper's link, I wear it very sparingly because I don't want to rub of that new old stock vibe to it. The stainless steel example I have I'd have no such issues with. Worst case I could get a stainless steel case refreshed, the gold plated cases could be done, but way more complicated(and pricey).

Thanks guys. And yes Wibbs I'm a bit of a looper myself hence name.

I won't go for it and will wait for something a bit more.... well just a bit more .... you know. And cheaper.

Like a lot yours tho Wibbs.

And I'm also in the look out for a nice vintage 1966 piece. Not a bracelet tho.

Any ideas where is good to look and where not to. Won't know what I want till I see it.

    Thanks again.

Step 1 will be to figure out what you like.
Try an ebay search for "vintage watch 1966". That brings up 150 odd watches. Looking at them there is a good variation of styles etc.

Just remember that styles have changed over the years and with the trend towards larger sizes these days it can make vintage 60's/70's watches look VERY small in comparison.
