Still very difficult to get a Traineeship in 2016 Ireland?

Is it still very hard to get a Traineeship? I've read a tonne of threads from 2007-2009, saying it was almost impossible. Is this still the case?

There is a lot more opportunity out there at the moment than there was circa 2008.

If you look on the law society website, you'll see that there are quite a lot of positions advertised.

As the economic situation improved, the amount of opportunity in terms of available traineeships began to rebound.

Some people will always be negative about the whole process, but if you are graduating now, or doing the FE1's now, or starting to look for a traineeship now, you will find it a lot easier than the posters in these threads in 2008 did!
