Sewer Incident in Dublin - 10th to 14th November

    Hi all,

There is currently a blocked sewer in the Barrow Street area in Dublin City. A third party working in the area caused concrete to enter the sewer, causing the blockage.

Until the repair is fully complete, Irish Water are carrying out overland pumping measures to mitigate the impact to customers and a traffic management system has been put in place.

A full replacement of the impacted section of the sewer will commence on Saturday, 12 November and is expected to take three days to complete. Site investigation works, establishment of all utilities services in the area, road opening licences and health and safety assessments will be completed on Friday, 11 November.

We apologise to residents who are impacted by noise generated by the overland pumping. This is required to prevent any localised flooding in the area. We thank residents for their understanding and support while we work to resolve the issue and complete the repair work.

    Thanks,
    Alex
