    Evening all,

Time to get a new beater/ desk diver. Max to spend would be €300. Been looking at the usual Seiko suspects on creationwatches and others, and been keeping my eye on adverts to see what's cropping up, but the one watch that I'm constantly drawn to is this:

Sorry bout that, don't know what happened there. Couldn't add anything to the post once I copied the link.

I was going to add, I'd be putting it on a NATO/ ZULU, possibly of the Bond variety.

Reason for the thread is to see if any of the very knowledgeable peoples on here have any other suggestions/ ideas for me. No mad panic on it, as the Boss will be purchasing for Christmas.

the citizen is nice, ive a good few citizen and seiko divers. i spotted that one on adverts, and would be all over it except ive too many in that style, and i know it wont get enough wrist time. bear in mind i always dump those rubber straps from seiko/citizen. they're not comfortable. so maybe replace with a nice leather strap or shark mesh which looks great and really comfortable. seiko 007 and mesh is my classy beater. best of luck.

Yeah, that particular model was up on adverts a couple of weeks ago. Went for about 130 I think, which was a steal. I'm slightly torn as to what to do. The only thing about the Citizen that I don't like is the orange minute hand, but nothing to difficult to change. And would prefer sapphire, but again that can be arranged.

and i think the orange minute hand makes it! certainly gives it more of a tool look. anyway the good thing is you can buy it, see how you feel about the orange hands after a few months, then change it if you cant abide it.
