    Hi
I am looking for some recommendations of crayons. All the ones normal crayola ones (that have paper on them) seem to snap on us!! Should I buy "twistables"? My son will be 3 in January. We colour almost every day ;) I have seen "chubbi stumps" online but they only seem to be sold in class sizes :( thanks a million.

We find twistables great! Well worth trying. My little guy is 3 and a half and uses them no problem-can't always twist them up himself but they don't really seem to break unless they're pushed up too far. There's other brands of similar but not sure if they are as strong. Just make sure it's the crayon twistables you get and not the pencil ones.

1 of my boys loved to take twistables apart, so ended up buying chublet crayons that came Ina tub. Think they were caryola, must see can I find the box. They don't snap, and worked fine in our house!

The "stubbies" are very good. Short and thick and don't break.

My first crayons from crayola are chunky ones still withstanding full force toddler after a few months. Got them in Eason https://www.amazon.com/Crayola-First-Jumbo-Crayons-Pieces/dp/B00BUIE8OU

Thank you!!! I will buy both ;)
Should I buy mini twistables or normal size (both the same price)? Easons have a 15% off code "BDNOV16". They are 6.80 euro for 24twistables. Free delivery over 10euro

Generic twistables here, Heatons have them 3 for 2 (mini sized ones) at the moment.

I've bought the heatons twistables for work to give to kids to colour with meals. They last ages.

How much are non crayola twistables?

The mini ones are fine and probably a bit easier for little hands to hold. In our house they last long enough. Also easier if you want to bring them somewhere.

Twistables break easier than a normal crayon I found, because they twist them too much.

Plus, ya know... plastic where no plastic is needed.

    Try pencils at age 3.

    4 for 24 but then they are 3 for 2 I think.

Pwurple do they not just break the nibs on the pencils?

We have twistables for the older ones but not so good for the 2 year old.
http://www.finesolutions.co.uk/products/chunky-crayons are the best crayons ever. They never break and the colours are great.
They remind me of the crayons that we had in school as kids.

Found another link to them http://www.scolaquip.co.uk/chubbi-stumps.html

Moonbeam they are the crayons I have been looking for but to no avail :( art and hobby have them sometimes but are sold out at the moment :( they told me you get a box of 96 for something like 8euro but they don't sell smaller boxes.
I can order them through school but would prefer to just but them in the shop :)

The crayola first crayons are the same. Get them in smyths and Eason. I have an issue with twistables and the amount of plastic packaging on them. I feel it's unnecessary in a crayon, but that's my own issue lol !
If you're like me and are never out of Evans educational, or are ordering stuff for school, they have a selection of different sized boxes.

No broken nibs here. Big chunky pencils are what we have for the 2.5 year old. The fat triangular ones that are easy to grip. I think we got them in Liam Ruiseil.
