That would have been a lamb in a newborn vest to keep it warm.

    The more you know Sgt!

Yep, there has been frost. If you're floating around there in your mother and come out at 3am into the freezing cold, you need something to insulate against the cold/pneumonia etc.

What would happen if you took that jacket off the sheep and put it on a wolf?

Not intentionally, but rams will escape and get to ewes. Better to have a live lamb than abort the ewe. Prob why Sgt seen only the one.

The Sheep was off to a warehouse rave. Did it have a whistle, hotpants and a bottle of water too?

I heard it's a type of sheep marker. You put it on the favourite so that when you are out at night you can easily find her with your flashlight.

I dunno. You could end up with a peculiar reputation if you go around taking pictures of sheep.
People might think you're a bit.................... Welsh. :)

He's the sheep that stands at the gate telling all the other sheep the road is closed and they'll have to go around to the other gate.

That's on the way back from the pub for me usually!!!

On the beer in West Cork one evening I (apparently, no memory of this) said to the mate "why's that horse got no saddle, it might run away".

    Was a cow.

That's the Lollipop sheep, there to help the others by stopping the traffic when they need to cross the road.

Relation of mine visiting with us out in country as we were driving through a bog pointed excitedly and blurted out "Oh look, they've got heaps of them plastic cows".

She was referring to those 'lovely' novelty ceramic cows they have as art installation in some towns and cities.

They were plastic bags of turf. And we were only on our way to the pub.

    Okay I'm done.

Surely the sheep would have had some sort of clipboard as well.

OP - did the sheep have a clipboard and a scowl on its face
