Was driving off a slip road yesterday & had the booth down to get up to speed when the clutch just went. It wasn't slipping or giving any issues before that. There is 186,000 km on the car.

No fluid was leaking , i checked the levels.

Is this a full clutch replacement ?

I assume either the year or mileage is wrong in your post? 186000 in 10 months?

If it's a 1.8 tdci it's common around that milage for the clutch to go but usually hear loud flywheel first!?

What do you mean went? Did it start to slip or did the clutch pedal sink to the floor?

The clutch pedal didn't go to the floor totally. It was up a small bit but I felt nothing when i pressed it. There was no slip before hand.

you probably popped the slave cylinder by the sounds of it, which is in the bell housing anyway so if that is the problem you are looking at a full clutch kit.

edit: not in the gearbox but rather the bell housing, still a gearbox out job.

Happened to myself in my mothers 05 1.6 focus. Went from slipping to not engaging at all with in a few miles driving. No signs at all before that.
As said already whether it's the slave or the plate it's a box out job so it's a new clutch kit anyway.

I had mine done in 2 afternoons worth of work.
