Family Law - Undue Influence

    Hi Guys,

I'm new to all this and would appreciate any help or Id love to hear from someone who has been in a similar situation.

My mother passed away a couple of years back, she was the executor of my grannies will,
A new executor was appointed. (mothers Brother)
Then my grandmother got quite sick and i do believe roughly two years ago my grandmother was brought to solr office
to change the Will, myself and my sister where written out of the will (as i believe we should have inherited my mothers part)

And then a year ago my granny passed away, I believe there was nothing left in the will for me and my sister.
I got a call from my Auntie (mothers Sister) and she kind of advised me not to go to court to contest the will because we'll lose and it will cost us a lot of money and that my granny took myself and my sister off the will by herself (with no influence)
My own mothers family have completely gone against what my mother would have wanted, Myself and my sister feel very very angry about this and not because of money even, I just feel because my mother would be turning in her grave knowing her own family ripped her kids off.

Note: the family will not let me or my sister view the will,
Keeping everything hush hush they tried to sell the house without our knowledge.
Estate is now at sale agreed

Any advice I would be grateful to hear.

You need to go and see a solicitor.

If you are not a beneficiary, you are not entitled to view the will. Don't waste your money or energy on it.

I have an appointment booked with a solicitor who specialises in family law.
i received a letter which relates to the situation addressed to my mother.
This letter I feel will be quite helpful in my case.
I feel I have no option but to pursue this the legal way.
win or lose I'll know I tried for my mother.
Would also be a pain and slow the process down for everyone involved.
It may be costly but then again money is not the point here.

These situations are can be very stressful. Sadly,
unless a settlement is made, a dispute over a will etc can be a source of bitterness amongst relatives for generations.
Therefore may I suggest that you do not compound matters by posting details on a public forum like this.
    Talk to your solicitor
