Had you asked me a month ago I would have thought a win is very possible.

A month is a long time in football - at this stage I would take a draw and be done with it!

We've conceded at least one goal on the last 43 of 44 NLDs.

The Emirates pitch is large, like Wembley. We could have a few players going down with cramp like we did after the last time we played at Wembley.

Optimistically, maybe our poor recent form will draw Arsenal into a false sense of security?

I wouldn't be too optimistic about this to be honest. Unless the team that beat City turn up, i expect us to lose. Arsenal have been very good lately, and will be up for this.

    1-0 Arsenal unfortunately.

#THFC team: Lloris (C), Walker, Vertonghen, Wimmer, Rose, Dier, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Son, Kane.

Like that team.a lot more optimistic now.Wimmer finally given the nod (why it took so long I don't know).Dembele I assume will be pushed forward alongside Eriksen and Son.think we can be confident of a draw.COYS

Talk of Poch going with a back three??

    Dier - Vertonghen - Wimmer

I had assumed it would be the usual back four with Dier in midfield with Wanyama.

He practically confirmed it in the interview

He also said two up top!!

I'd love to see Janssen starting with Kane if we're going two up top.

There may be loads of goals. All we need is one more than them.

    Such theatrics

Playing well. Danny Rose is much better than Davies. Woolwich starting to come into it last five mins

Two woolwich players offside there. Shouldn't have counted

Weren't interfering with play though. They didn't have anything to do with Winner heading into his own net.

Dembele and wanyama have struggled which is something I never thought would happen.we started well enough.Eriksen has to do more.Jan went pricking around with the ball in the edge of our box and ended up sending it back to Hugo and putting us under pressure.needless.still think there is something there for us if we can get Eriksen involved

They were interfering with play. Wimmer knows he has to get something on it because he knows the two players are behind him ready to pounce.

Yes they were. He wouldn't have needed to header it

First twenty we were at it. We started pulling out of challenges in the latter part of the half.
Hit em hard and we'll get back in this

    Now let's beat these *****

Sorry I ever doubted you Moussa now let's get at these

    Give us a goal Janssen!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,936 ✭✭✭golfball37

Ball isn't sticking up front and we've started to retreat in a big way. Did we learn nothing from first half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,936 ✭✭✭golfball37

    Any touch at all....

Jansen has given away three needless free kicks since coming on. He's miles off the pace

And that attempt at a volley has me worried about his abilities. In not really seeing much from him at the moment. Still, early days for him.

    Good result though.

Big shout from Poch to play 3 at the back. Think it played off pretty well. We were a team low on confidence coming into the game but we bossed them early on.

The formation really suits our squad and the one major positive from it is that Sissoko won't fit in to that formation!! 😊

Great tactics by Pochettino today. It was a huge call.

Dembele murdered there midfield at times.

Have to say that was a much better performance.we looked threatening and Dembele and wanyama started to take over.Still a little disappointed that we didn't manage to sneak it.Alli is going to be big loss.I hope Wimmer has done enough to convince poch that he is a reliable 3rd choice centre half.Hope

I heard Wenger coming out and saying Wanyama should have been sent off when Walcott ran into him. I was raging at the time of the incident, Walcott hit the ground far too easily and I thought he should have been booked for play acting.

Mad how two sides can see it so differently!

Wenger tends to have his own unique worldview and is prone to attacks of selective blindness. I often find it hard to reconcile the style of football he tries to play with the moany whingey petulance he constantly displays.
