Think so and therefore unavailable to Virgin customers.... Which is why they just have one less.

The choice of TV channels to show rugby in Ire and the UK at the moment is just dumb.

All of these questions are hopefully legal, but anyway, can anyone with legal Eirsport accounts confirm the following.

    Can I;

A: Chromecast it from an android phone.
B: HDMI it out from a laptop.
C: Use a desktop and just put a TV in as my only monitor.

Why would anyone with a "legal" Eir account care? We just turn on the telly.

It works fine with a HDMI lead to the tv. I've not tried chromecast

Only if you have a sky box. It doesn't work if you have any other kind of satellite receiver.

Found a thing on the eir site
Are there any restrictions to use the eir Sport app? You can use the eir Sport app anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. ISP and data charges may apply if you're connected to 3G or 4G network. Please be aware that eir Sport does not support AirPlay, Google Chrome browser, Microsoft Edge browser or HDMI adapters such as Chromecast.

    HDMI shouldn't be a problem

    PM'd you an alternative way.

Yeah exactly as said already, have eir broadband but no box that can recieve, so I just want to use the internet stream on my TV, because all of us huddled around the laptop isn't a goer.

Finally started working for me too when the match just ended, fantastic. Being forced to use IE11 + silverlight, kind of says it all in this day and age. sad.

Bad show when freebie streams work well and the true provider cannot serve its customers.

agree , one of the greatest days in Irish rugby , if not the greatest, missed by so many - people gave out about TV3 last year during WC, but games were & watched by all - shame on RTE our national station.

Just rub it in after it working for the second half 10 mins to go and laptop crashes (win 10 been doing that since anniversary update not eirs fault) managed to get logged in again with 30's to go.

Interesting though I could log in fine to the my eir page but not to eirsport which would make me think they have a restricted number of logins.

Have they issued any kind of statement/apology about this?

There was a one line apology at the end of their live coverage.

"We are looking into a technical problem which affected a very small number of customers"

My arse. Seems the vast majority had problems.

An unholy a!liance with the vintners.
The pubs in my town filled up very quickly last night by all accounts.

It was a total joke. I knew from 7pm that there were going to be problems so I made alternative arrangements, but my heart goes out to people who didn't know where else to watch the match
