    Hi all,

    Could someone in the know here please tell me how to turn off the water going in the boiler as the heat exchanger has gone kaput and leaking..

    Is it the lever on the left in the picture or the red twist type knob on the right of the picture? note: there are two red levers on the one pipe in the left of the picture..

    Hi Corcaigh,

    THe one on the left (the lever) looks like the one , however, in a sealed system, that should already be in the off position, I cannot say whether its on or off.

    THe other one looks like a pressure relief valve - to me,

    I can offer no sensible advice, I am not a plumber, just a lucky to get away with stuff enthusiast. Sorry.

    Well im still here! kabooom! lol!

    I actually rang a plumber to be safe and his advice was to tie up the ballcock within the small tank in the attic...
