Welcome to the Mac forum. This is a forum for the discussion of all Mac hardware, software and related products in the Apple ecosystem. If you are having a technical issue, need buying advice or just want to discuss the latest Mac hardware or software announcement or release, then you’ve come to the right place. But this is more than just a forum for discussing technical issues. It’s a community of Mac enthusiasts and experts, some of whom have been posting here for over a decade. If you are new to the Mac or considering switching, don’t be afraid to start a thread. We’re a friendly bunch and are happy to offer our advice and experience on any questions you may have.

In order to the keep the forum running smoothly, please keep the following rules in mind:

    NO PIRACY!
This includes any discussion, promoting or boasting about the illegal sourcing of legitimate products, such as software, apps or operating systems.

    NO ADVERTISING!
This includes ads for your business or app. If you looking to buy or sell a second-hand Mac, this is not the place. Please use Adverts.ie.

    NO FANBOY WARS!
That includes Mac vs PC, Apple vs Google, etc. i.e. pointless debates with no end. You can criticise Apple and the Mac, but keep in mind this is a forum for Mac users and trolling won’t be tolerated.

    FINALLY…
The usual Boards.ie rules also apply. No spamming, no advertising, no flaming, no trolling or general muppetry. No posting or linking to offensive or illegal material. Be friendly and courteous to each other and stay on topic.

Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in infractions/bans and/or threads being locked and posts deleted. Please don’t dispute mod action in-thread, instead send a PM to the mod and see if you can both resolve the issue amicably. If that fails, follow the Dispute Resolution Procedure.

If you have any questions not answered here, please PM a mod.

    Thanks for reading and enjoy!
