    Hi,

I would expect to buy a new KIA sportage today approx €27k. I'll not now be trading in, but paying a €5k cash deposit and the rest on finance (lease or PCP).

Any idea what discount that could be expected?

Doubt if there is much haggle room in that scenario, but they are offering a €500 super value voucher on all new purchases at the moment.

Yip, as long as ordered before the 2nd of December. That would be on offer regardless.

Keep in mind Hyundai are doing scrappage/trade and upgrade bonus on the Tucson.

Don't know what discounts Kia are doing and how available the sportage is.

FWIW, I got a €3k discount on the RRP. We were only getting a €1.5k discount on the non runner 206, so they would have been charging us €1.5k to take away the pug

To be honest I wasn't expecting such a big discount, I literally went "hah?"

    So, delighted.

Also, put down the €500 deposit and will get the €500 Super Valu voucher before Christmas.

Have sold the pug to an independent garage for €1.75k (he has it sold already). Very happy with how it turned out.

Colm, My wife liked the Sportage, and when I saw it today and saw all the features I had to agree with her. The 7 year warranty is a big thing too. Parkers give it a 4.5 stars. Probably keep for 5 years and still sell on with 2 year warranty (same as most new cars) which is a big thing.

For a cash deal you probably can negotiate scrappage offer minus €500.

If you're getting a promotional PCP offer - I don't think there is much room anymore...

Scrappage deals are usually funded by the distributor and you don't usually get as good a deal for buying straight

I really like the front of the new sportage. Looks quite premium. Not a fan of the rear lights though, it's like they tried to make it different to the Tucson so they added that bar joining the lights.

Getting €3k off was a nice discount, but to be fair that's about the price of it if Hyundai are knocking €4K off on scrappage.
