Is it scabby / scaly or more like bites? If he got photosysnthesisation sp? sometimes when.it heals it can become kinda hard and scaly.

I've seen that here with cattle that are on a lot of meal and then it's stopped. Their immunity goes down when they come off the meal. Just give him some meal again for a while and reduce it then again slowly. That's why I asked was he a breeding bull. They tend to be fed a lot of meal.

He's is for fattening so don't want to stop feeding him he is eating and looks perfect except for a bit of linking but hopefully the dosing will stop this

If he was on a lot of maize meal it could be zinc deficiency. Is he lame by any chance?

If it's not itchy, could it be Ringworm. That can be scaley and wouldn't respond to pour-on wormers or lice dressing.

Best guess, ringworm. Have a chat to your vet and show him the pictures. You'll need to talk to him and get something for treatment anyway.
