hi I hope somebody can help me, I've just bought a LG 43lh590v and can't figure out how to tune in the saorview channels, it's def saorview ready, just been back to the shop and double checked.

The stations are showing up on the list but nothing coming through, it just says "no CI module" which i think means the channel is scrambled.

There's an icon for live tv which shows all the listed channels but should there be a separate icon for saorview?
there's an icon for Aertv but that seems to be an internet option not saorview?

anyway I'm not really very techie so really hoping somebody can enlighten me
    thanks in advance

I assume you have an aerial connected and used Ireland as the install country?

    yes afaik

A Saorview aerial would have a push-in plug like the one on the left in this picture. The right-hand, screw-in one is for satellite signals.

i have the aeriel alright because it was connected to a combi box before i got the new tv.......just wondering if i have it connected to the right part of the tv?

Also do the Irish channels show up in the same list as the satellite channels?
Or is there a separate icon to press?

Is the satellite dish also connected to the TV?

That would explain why the channels are in the satellite list and not viewable as they're encrypted on satellite.

Switching source to aerial or something similar shoud allow you to see the Saorview channels.

I don't own an LG TV so wouldn't be sure myself.

I have a slightly older one. Press the input button on the remote (rectangle icon with an arrow pointing into it)

and you should get a menu like this

    Antenna is what you're after

You'll probably have to mess around with settings.

If you just hit the 'guide' button, don't the 'satellite' & 'aerial' (or 'air') options come up somewhere on the screen? Or at least an option to select that then brings them up ...

Had a look at the manual online, is there a TV/RAD button on the top right of your remote control, pressing this may cycle you through the radio, TV and satellite options
