I am on JSA & my wife has been on my claim as the qualified adult. She has now found employment. This week she will have worked roughly 13.5 hrs & then from next week she do at least 30hrs per week @ €9.30. How does it work with telling the social about her working. Should I go in tomorrow or wait till next week until I know how many hours she does tomorrow. Also how does it affect my claim?

I think that you will lose 124.80 per week, but if you have children your other half can apply for Family Income Supplement

In the week your wife earns €9.30 x 30 hours your €312 JSA will be reduced to €180.60 approx.

If she worked this week then you should have told them on Monday but it should be ok if you tell them tomorrow
