    hello im on jobseekers allowence moving in with my boyfriend and his earning 400 a week the rent is 200 a week so will this mean i dont get any jobseekers as his earning 400 or how much would i get per week? i dont understand how his meant to pay for both of us and pay the rent out of 400 as some people say i wont get anything because he earns 400

    If your going to live with him then you will go to the SW office with his payslip and ask for him to be added to your claim
    This means that you will get approx €108 per week Jobseekers
    So you will be living on :
    €108 Jobseekers
    +€400 wages
    =€508 total
    If your rent is €200 per week then this leaves you €300 per week for everything else
    In my opinion you will find it hard to live like that
