    Need a bit of advice here on if this is a good price for this car

    Moving up from a 1.1 pug to a 1.9 tdi golf and not sure about prices

    Seen this one locally and know the guy and he keeps his cars in good shape but price seems a little steep and want other opinions

    06 1.9 TDI golf 3 door
    185k on the clock
    Tax and nct Oct 17
    Serviced about two months ago
    Gti alloys
    Hid lights

    Asking 4,300 for it
    Is this too much

    Diesel Golfs go for silly money especially among young lads with hard ons for them. I wouldn't pay that for a 10 year old example but plenty might so my answer might not be much help to you.

    I'd be sceptical that it's Taxed to October 17, who would spend the guts of €6/700 on a car he's about to be rid of?

    Also I'd be going for a '08 and after model, again for the motor tax reasons but that's just me.

    Tax disk in window says 10/17 used to work with the guy and he just got a new car
