Was thinking of heading over for the Thursday and Friday next year. Never been before so can anyone on here give us some advice?

I stayed in Tewksbury last year it's a small town about 15 mins from the race course. Taxi is cheap and the accommodation was fine. I'd recommend it

Tudor House Hotel is where we stayed.

Hi Picachu. Can I assume that you are not interested in having byronbay2 joining you at Chelters next year? I want to get everything sorted out asap and accommodation is the last piece of the puzzle. Flights, tickets and car hire are organised so (unless I hear from you this week) I will assume that you are rejecting me and will organise alternative accommodation.

Unfortunately, it didn't work out with Picachu (not his fault, just accommodation outside my price range) but I thought I would continue this thread in case anyone can help me find accommodation.

I am flying to Stansted on the Monday (13th March) and racing on the Tues and Wed. I have hired a car and am flying back on Thurs evening so just need a bed for 3 nights. I am willing to pay up to £100 p/n but ideally less. I don't really want to stay in Cheltenham (too expensive and hectic) but somewhere nearby (< 30 miles) that has a bit of a racing buzz for the week. Hotel, B&B or house/apt sharing are all fine. If anyone is part of (or knows of) a group renting a house that has a spare room, let me know. I will pay my share and bring people to/from the course if they want.

Try Liz Coe. She should be able to sort you out with a room in a house.

Anyone traveled from Bristol? thinking of staying there in march in the radisson and getting the train for 2 days.

Flew in there loads of times. Never did the daily commute but got the bus for a fiver to temple meades train station and onwards to cheltenham in 50 mins. Bristol is meant to be good craic.

Sterling is the right price now so that will take the sting out of it (that's what I'm telling myself anyway )
