Proof of no claims bonus

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but my question is related to this.

I drove for 2 years insured by first Ireland.

I then moved to axa and have been insured with them for 4 years (currently in my 5th).

I don't have a no claims certificate from first Ireland to prove my 2 years no claims, I'm guessing I had to send it to axa. Is this a problem? Do I need to contact first ireland? Or do I only need no claims certificates from my current insurer?

    Hope that makes sense! Thanks

The last insurer your are with will just add on NCB from previous insurers.
So after one year with Axa you should have been sent a cert with 3 years NCB on it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at the cert I got after one year with axa. It says:

The actual number of years without a claim occuring on this policy is 1 year. But axa had to have known I had 2 years driving experience when I went with them because the quote was very reasonable.

Who were you insured with for the first 2 years as first ireland is a broker? And it wasn't as a named driver by any chance?

I rang axa and they said I'm getting 75% no claims discount and that is full no claims. So that's all a new insurance would need as proof.
