'It's Christmas'

I have today off and I'm up early doing jobs and cleaning the house. Taking a break with a cup of tea and there was an ad on television for I think littlewoods with a song singing 'it's Christmas' over and over.

I nearly got sick watching it and listening to it.

I love Christmas. Sometimes starting early preparing can be good. It takes a lot of stress out in December. I will have to start early at Christmas shopping because I have family abroad and I will have to meet the posting dates which is usually around about the 6th or 7th of December.

Christmas ads is just not on in November. It's not Christmas. It's far from Christmas. Same goes for Christmas music in shops in November. Must admit I haven't heard Christmas music yet but if I do hear Christmas music in any shop I go to in November, I will do my best to boycott them.

Littlewoods are pricks, they had an advert running all through the day a few years back showing mother's buying all the Xmas gifts. Nice one lads, tons of awkward questions from kids on that one I bet.

I'm looking forward to my first Christmas at home since 2012. No more 30 odd degree heat for me on December 25th. Can't wait.

You know the worst thing about emigration?

The fuckers shoe-horning the fact they were away in Australia into every fucking conversation when they get back.

I find the people who have a problem with it like you to be worse! I for one would much rather be in 30c this winter

Well, at least there's one shop I can go to that's got a whole lot of things for Christmas and lots for the family.

    Tralalaaa, lalalalaaa.

The confusion in the shops is fascinating Halloween and Christmas decorations clashing with each other.

If you don't like it, don't watch telly, listen to radio, read papers/magazines.

There just catering to a demand that exists.

Is this new for you or something OP? Don't the shops always put up xmas decorations once the Halloween ones are down? As for the ads, I know the toy store in Tipp started advertising for their Christmas club back in the summer. Nov 1st has always been open season IIRC!

You're wrong here as you said yourself that you saw one thereby proving that Christmas ads are actually on in November.

OP you'll just have to get used to the fact that Christmas starts as soon as Halloween ends these days.
