Just noticed (I may not have been paying attention) that google maps now refers to the N32 as the R139 & the M50 as the E01.

When did these change & why?

The N32 was detrunked and became R139 in 2012.

The E01 designation given to the M50 is part of the Euroroute 01 (see here for the rest of Europe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_route_E01) that links the N1 at the Border to Rosslare via the M1, M50, N11/M11 and N25. Google maps sometimes shows the M50 as the E01, even though it should just label it M50 to avoid confusion. The same happens in Limerick with the M7/N18 being labelled the E20
