Did any of ye see the new long yellow handled knife for opening bales?

To me its just a stanley blade on the end of a plastic stick with a €39 price tag.

Am l missing something ? Does it have any other magical powers?

It'll probably go on to be a best seller!!

Saw it today. Two positives, it might keep you from walking under the bale while cutting, and it would be hard mislaid.
    Didn't see the price though...

You would need a fierce length of a pocket to your trousers however.. :D

But could a lad not tape a stanley knife to the end of a broken plastic fencing stake and get the same affect? :)

    No No No No!
    That would be Guntering!

I can however, sell you a genuine pair of Cavan Farmers Trousers.
These come with extra deep pockets, and are a snip at €39.99 :D

You just have to take your boot off to get anything out of those pockets.

I was always thinking about anything like this. Especially as awkward as this hayknife, if you could leave it strapped or fastened to the side of the loader, it'd be fierce handy and never lost.

Well for you boys with your foreign fruit in your pockets. Oranges and passion fruit and other unGodly things.
A Cavan man would have a small turnip in his pocket or meaby a James Grieve apple on a Holy day or his birthday.

A skydiver came through the roof of a house one time and ended up in a mans kitchen and he instantly knew that he had landed in Cavan because the man was eating his dinner out of a drawer and he shut it fast the minutes the skydiver came through the roof.

We don't like people dropping in unexpectedly.
