    The thread title makes it seem like you're having a seasonal existential crisis.

    I abso-freakin-lootly loathe the modern pronunciation of Hallowe'en as HOLLOW-een -- like a hollow tree?

    It is from All Hallows: all the Holy. Saints, etc. (the Eve of)

    Hallowed means Holy. Hollow means empty in the middle. Not the same thing at all.

    So, it's Hallowe'en - ok?

    They're pretty similar, both just a bit of silly nonsense although one is less harmful that the other.
