If you are back filling immediately ,you should fill tank with water

Used to have to wait a month before backfilling

I thought a month or so for the concrete to cure. And keep a good bit of water in it to keep it from lifting . Ask an engineer but a couple of weeks if you don't pack it on (vibrate) it too much should be fine

If grant job has to be a minimum of 28 days, if they check, before backfilling. 90% of final strength of concrete. Don't underestimate the pressure of backfilling on the walls.

Yes I seen one, it didn't float down the road but it moved a foot or so. I back filled my last tank after a week or ten days but didn't pack it, it sank around 4 foot and it was back filled and packed in a fortnight or so. All worked out ok but I seen one a mate do and it cracked all the way around and requires a lot more emptying than it should, I'd say he wishes leaving it an extra week or so now.

As the temperatures drop it could take longer to cure than concrete poured in summer time. The few extra days would be better than a crack. The ppl supplying the slats should know how soon it takes to cure.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Yep! & when they filled it with water to drop it again split in two. Out with the rock bucket and draw it all away and pour the whole thing again!

Anyone have a rough price on a four bay single slatted tank and shed. Was thinking 14' 6 slats and 15' feeding passage passage. Just a simple lean 2 type shed.

Put in grant spec 8 bay tank, 9 foot deep. 35000+ vat plus barriers and gates. The tank been 9 foot deep instead of 8 foot was an extra 5000, not sure what shed would be.

A lot of people here in clare dig a drain out of one side of the hole for the tank put on a pipe and fill up again so the tank won't float this would be In muddy ground that won't soak a drop of water

Thanks, does this include the shed? You had it done for €21,000 after the grant so.

No shed I'm afraid, no grant either as I hadn't enough of slurry capacity before but had to do it to grant spec to claim grant on other buildings.

I waited 17 days to backfill and tank was propped inside, only putting up barriers this week.
