    Hey All,

I want to get new alloys for my 2012 Megane 3.

I currently have 15 inch hubs on it.

Is it possible to go up to 17 inch?

Also, where is the best place to get alloys & tyres?

Been looking at http://www.tyres-outlet.ie/Alloy_wheels_winter.html as they have the price for alloys and tyres.

    Thanks all

Yeah there'd be no bother putting 17s on it.

Your best bet for wheels would be getting used ones from a mk3 Laguna or an 09+ Grand Scenic, or another mk3 Megane

The likes of eireryres would be good for tyres.

Tyre size to go for would be 225/45R17 which is a relatively common and cheap size. You can also go 205/50R17 but that's less common so no real reason to

Ah I'd rather just get new alloys and tyres in one buy.

Where's best to buy a complete set??

Most aftermarket new wheels won't look right on a newish car, they're usually heavier but they won't be built as strong, and can make the car worth less than on standard wheels.
What's your budget for the wheels and tyres together?

For both the alloys and tyres around €1200.

These seem to have good alloys and good tyres.

    What do you think??

They scream aftermarket to me and don't really suit the car but it's your money and your opinion that counts

I'd be inclined to scrap that idea and check out some breakers for a set of original wheels and get tyres separately if required. As Colm has said aftermarket wheels/alloys on newer cars don't look right. You'll probably come well under your 1200 budget too ;)

Apparently braking a 2012 Megane Irish Edition, that would have had 17" Factory Alloys (and fairly nice ones at that) as standard.

Good call. They're the 15 spoke wheels. Suit the car really well IMO. If they're in good shape then it'd be a no brainier.
