First time buyer here, but I'm looking to get myself a drone, I will use it mostly for fun, but also for some photography/video footage of the scenery I am surrounded by.

I would like it to have a decent enough range (1-2km)
Decent enough camera, decent enough battery

I am currently torn between the parrot beebop2

    And the DJ Phantom

Anyone any opinions on the pros/cons of either?

I'd also be interested in hearing what people would recommend.

You should also take a look at https://www.iaa.ie/docs/default-source/misc/drones-questions-and-answers.pdf?sfvrsn=2

There's a limit on how far the drone is allowed fly from the operator - 300m, plus other limits.

Where did you buy the gear? Just did a very very quick Google search and seems like it's £250ish?
